As of the way of society is today, many aspects of life need some simplicity. John Maeda has certainly noticed this and has helped me with my recognition of simplicity in my life.
Law 2: Organize
If I look at myself and others comments on organization, it comes apearent that organization holds together many parts of life. I have seen how organization can make or break a situation from many experiences in my life. From being an organized person, I make sure I have things put in place so I can find it easier and make sense of things. Pretty much it makes things more simple! I also have been in situations that organization was lacking. Having roommates that are generally messy, I get frustrated when things are not organized. To me, when things are not organized, it creates confusion and distraction. I say if things are in order it eliminates the human error of complexity. To me, organization was most important to me for it lays the foundation for a smoother experience which many aspects of life can benefit from.
Law 3: Time
As to relation of organization laying the foundation for everything smoother later, organization allows for efficient use and the need for an important feature of our culture. TIME if really thought about is important to me and most people in the western world. We strive around fitting the most into our day stemming anxiousness into productivity. I think this was an important law because learning time allows the second foundation to a smoother road. To me if I allow less mess it allows more free time. Since time is important we need the most we can get and that is what good organization can do. Once we have the most time, we can learn how to manage it which makes things easier from one event to the next. Simplicity.
Law 4: Learning
Because all laws and lessons of life can be easier said than done, learning become my next important law of simplicity. ------If you knew all things, wouldn't it make life easier and "simple"? ----If you knew nothing at all, wouldn't it make things confusing and "complex"? This is the way I look at the importance of learning. The more that I know the less chance of complexity and confusion. I like to be comfortable in life which means I like things that can make life better like simplicity. To get to know how to do things better, you need to do what is called learning. Knowing more and staying on top of things in terms of all of these laws especially organization, time and learning will sprout a simpler road ahead.
