I believe this photo was influenced by earlier pieces that were used by such bands as The Beatles as well as Jimi Hendrix. The intense coloring and wild shapes were previously influenced by the drugs that were popular at the time and now is being commonly used due to the trend of that time coming back.

This piece seems to be influenced by Van Der Rohe because it is using straight lines and is forming rectangular patterns. The gray corners on the buildings add visual attraction to the shapes.
