The first blog that caught my attention was about the 20 methods to improving your design skills. The important point that I got out of that writing was to always stay updated on design techniques and software. With the update in technology and the creativity of web design there will always be something new to learn. Other important points that I read were to pay close attention to detail and to plan out your design on scratch paper first.

Another article I found useful gives you steps to take before launching a website. It states that it's important to do diagnostics on your website before launching. This includes checking your navigation bar to make sure your links are properly working; this is called "cross-browser compatibility check".

A very good concept I learned from reviewing these blogs is to keep simplicity in your designs and layouts. This will help maintain a user friendly website. It is important to not clutter your design or make it hard to navigate. It could potentially lead to people losing interest in your site or future sites that you launch.
