Early Modern:
In looking at the slides for early modern, image 15 immediately stood out to me. It was strikingly similar to one of the symbols of a popular video game called Half Life. Beyond the resemblance though, this image uses thick rough lines and muted, dull colors to focus more on the despair in life like the images seen in the Early Modern Movement.

Psychedelic:

This dress stood out to me as being inspired by the psychedelic movement because of all of the bright, contrasting colors. Most people would consider these colors to clash, but that style was typical of the symbolic of the psychedelic movement. Also the Texture of the pattern and the bold lines also are characteristic of the psychedelic movement. This image most closely resembles images 2,3, & 4 from the psychedelic slides.

Post Modern:
This image reminds me of some of the postmodern images we saw because of the purposeful breaking of expectations. Like the images of Boy George and Madonna (postmodern images 5&6) Lady Gaga has taken to wearinf her underwear on the outside and confusing gender roles. She is also breaking stereotypes about how a pop diva is suppose to look. She does not try to be the polished singer that we typically see. Without postmodern images like Madonna and Boy George they may never have been someone like Lady Gaga.

Swiss/ International:
This image would be representative of the Swiss/ International movement. It very closely resembles image 51 from those slides. Like that car this one is also minimalistic and designed to include just the essentials. It is also similar in its slightly rectangular shape, although the front end is more rounded than the original image.

American Kitsch

This image represents American Kitsch because of its use of playful shapes. It took the idea of a basic clock and flipped it into something futuristic. It is also slightly representative of 50's vales in America, the household. This image most closely resembles image 12 in the American kitsch slides.
