Online Design Blogs

I found some unique tips that were some what inspirational. First they talked about mistakes. Personally I hate making mistakes, anything that makes me look silly. First thing that Blog 1 talked about was owning your mistakes. Do not shy away from them because they are a means of learning in design development. The old cliche, "It is not matter if you fall, but if you get back up." Mistakes only indicate failure if you fail to learn from them. This is the difference between being wise and being silly for making the same mistakes.

How do todays designers keep up with the trends and designs of todays changing world? Of course, have a convention. This is a wonderful idea not only to share ideas (which is obviously huge) but to keep the craft of designing going. In every aspect of design: online, graphic, interior etc. They pass down the art of their crafts to the new and inexperienced designers. As they said, no matter how much you know you will always be learning because of the varying styles and new ideas that are created everyday. Sharing ideas can in turn create new ideas. Example: Myspace >> Facebook.

Other ways of keeping up-to-date: New tools (largely online tools) that teach designers how to create with new techniques that are quicker as well as unique. Today's Keynotopia is a free set of interface elements for Keynote which makes it simple for anyone to create modern prototypes in minutes. The most significant advantage of using new technologies like Apple Keynote is time saving, with what seems like more hours in a day is a huge advantage over any competition; and if you think the field of design today is not a competition you would be lieing.
